The SGC Black Powder-Coated Brush Guard gives the classic EZGO TXT a tougher, more finished appearance while placing a substantial tubular barrier in front of the cartโs bodywork.
Its wide, wraparound shape follows the TXT front end and provides a natural visual match for lifted carts, hunting builds, campground cruisers and utility vehicles. This guard is not intended for 2014-and-newer TXT, Freedom or Valor carts. Those later models require the corresponding BGTX04 black brush guard.
It is also not designed for EZGO RXV, Marathon or other golf-cart platforms.
If the exact model year is unknown, locate and verify the cartโs manufacturer identification before ordering. Body panels are sometimes replaced, so appearance alone may not identify the correct generation.

Installation Notes
Inspect the guard and all mounting hardware before beginning installation.
Loosely position the guard and mounting points before final tightening. Center the guard on the cart, confirm that it does not contact the bodywork and tighten the hardware evenly.
Before completing installation, check clearance around:
- Headlights and front light bezels
- Fender flares
- Lift-kit or suspension components
- Front shock covers
- Non-factory body panels
- Other front-mounted accessories
Some fender-flare or accessory combinations may require adjustment or modification. Verify the complete installation before drilling, cutting or permanently modifying another component.
If the cart has headlights, confirm that the installed guard does not obstruct or redirect the usable light pattern.
Light-Duty Protection Notice
This brush guard can help shield the front body from light brush, small branches and minor incidental contact. It is not a crash bar, structural bumper, rollover-protection system or occupant-safety device.
Do not use the brush guard as a tow point, recovery point, lifting point, jack point or trailer tie-down location unless Steeleng specifically approves that use.

Street-Legal Build Note
A brush guard does not make a golf cart street legal.
Depending on local regulations, a street-operated golf cart or low-speed vehicle may require headlights, taillights, brake lights, turn signals, reflectors, mirrors, horn, seat belts, a compliant windshield, vehicle registration or other equipment.
Always confirm the rules for the city, county and state where the cart will be operated. Equipment requirements vary by location, and installing individual accessories does not guarantee legal road use.
Cleaning and Care
Clean the guard with mild soap, water and a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid abrasive pads, harsh solvents and aggressive compounds that could scratch or dull the powder-coated finish.
Inspect the mounting hardware periodically, particularly after transporting the cart or operating it on rough terrain. Retighten loose hardware as needed.
