The SilverWolf TEEKON 9kW / 12 HP AC Motor Conversion Kit is a complete rear-drive performance system engineered for qualifying 1996-present E-Z-GO TXT golf carts with an original 48V DC drivetrain. Instead of piecing together a motor, controller and interface from unrelated components, TEEKON pairs a high-output AC permanent-magnet motor with an 840-amp programmable controller, SilverWolf Golf Car Module and vehicle-specific wiring.

The result is a coordinated system designed to deliver stronger low-speed torque, higher available speed, efficient regenerative braking and selectable driving profiles through the SilverWolf smartphone app. The included GCM also creates a clean upgrade path to SilverWolf’s E-Z-GO TXT Discovery 4WD system, part number PK-000041.

This is a serious drivetrain upgrade, not a universal replacement motor. Review the compatibility checklist below before ordering.

Actual speed, range, torque and driving feel vary with battery voltage and condition, battery-management limits, tire diameter, vehicle weight, gearing, terrain, programming, mechanical condition and other vehicle modifications.

Confirm E-Z-GO TXT Compatibility Before Ordering

PK-000052 is designed for an E-Z-GO TXT that meets all of the following requirements:

• Factory or converted systems that no longer match SilverWolf’s published wiring and component requirements
• Applications that have not been positively identified before ordering

Do not order by model name alone. Check the controller label, battery voltage, throttle type and transaxle spline count on the actual cart.

Battery Requirements

For lead-acid carts, SilverWolf specifies a 48V battery pack in new or good condition.

For lithium-powered carts, SilverWolf specifies a 48V–72V lithium-ion pack with at least:

• 100A continuous discharge capability
• 250A maximum discharge capability for five seconds
• Nominal voltage no higher than 72V

The battery, battery-management system and charger must all be appropriate for the selected voltage and the current demand of the motor system. A battery that falls below the required discharge capability can limit performance or cause the battery-management system to shut down under load.

Required 2-Gauge Power Cables Sold Separately

The TEEKON conversion requires six 2-gauge power cables between the motor, controller, solenoid and main battery connections. SilverWolf’s vehicle-specific E-Z-GO TXT cable set is part number PK-000011 and is sold separately.

The PK-000011 set includes the three color-coded motor-phase cables plus the main positive, main negative and solenoid-to-controller power cables. Add the cable set to the same order unless the cart already has correctly sized, correctly terminated cables that satisfy every SilverWolf requirement.

9kW / 12 HP AC Permanent-Magnet Motor

The TEEKON motor replaces the compatible stock DC rear motor with a brushless AC permanent-magnet design. SilverWolf publishes the following motor specifications:

Permanent-magnet AC technology eliminates brushes and is designed to deliver high efficiency, immediate torque and regenerative-braking capability. SilverWolf states that the motor is approximately 57% lighter than the comparable OEM solution.

BAC8000 840-Amp Programmable Controller

The included BAC8000 controller manages the TEEKON motor as part of the complete SilverWolf system. Published controller specifications include:

The controller works with the GCM and SilverWolf app to manage acceleration, top speed, power delivery, regenerative braking, battery protection and diagnostics. Do not open, disassemble or modify the controller.

SilverWolf App Control and Live Vehicle Information

After installation, download and register the SilverWolf app to complete system setup. The app can display vehicle speed, battery voltage and state of charge, current draw, motor temperature, power output and diagnostic information. It also supports software updates, vehicle setup, throttle calibration, adjustable regenerative braking and an anti-theft lockout.

SilverWolf’s anti-theft feature prevents normal motor operation while engaged. If movement is detected while the TEEKON system is locked, the system can apply active braking to limit the cart to approximately 1 MPH. This electronic feature supplements sensible theft prevention; it does not replace a physical lock, secure storage or insurance.

Only one phone or tablet can be actively connected to the cart at a time. A second user can be registered with a separate email address and can connect after the first device disconnects.

Selectable Driving Modes

SilverWolf provides app-based profiles for different drivers and uses. Published profiles include:

• Turtle Mode: Reduces speed and acceleration for controlled operation, new drivers or indoor use.
• Long Range Mode: Limits speed, acceleration and torque to prioritize battery range.
• Standard Mode: Delivers stock-like speed, acceleration and regenerative-braking behavior. SilverWolf’s current app manual describes approximately 19 MPH with standard 18-inch tires.
• Standard-LSV Mode: Adjusts performance toward a low-speed-vehicle profile. SilverWolf describes speeds up to approximately 25 MPH with 23-inch tires.
• Sport Mode: Unlocks the system’s maximum available speed and acceleration. SilverWolf approval and a signed liability waiver are required before this mode can be enabled.

Available screens, profiles and settings can change with app and firmware revisions. Follow the current in-app prompts and SilverWolf documentation supplied with the kit.

Speed and Range Expectations

SilverWolf advertises potential speed up to 32 MPH with Sport Mode authorization and up to 20% greater range than a standard stock DC motor. Those figures are manufacturer claims, not guaranteed results for every cart.

Larger tires can increase theoretical road speed while also increasing drivetrain load. Aggressive acceleration, high power settings, hills, heavy passengers or cargo, low tire pressure and cold or aging batteries can reduce range. Configure the system conservatively, verify the cart’s brakes and steering, and test changes in a flat area away from people and obstacles.

Regenerative Braking

The SilverWolf app allows the driver to adjust regenerative braking. Regen can help slow the cart and return some energy to the battery, particularly on descents, but it does not replace the cart’s mechanical brakes. The original brake system must remain properly adjusted and fully functional.

SilverWolf also provides a single-pedal option in the app. When enabled, the first portion of pedal travel can command partial regenerative braking. Follow the app manual closely and become familiar with the selected braking response in a controlled area before normal driving.

Ready for a Future Discovery 4WD Upgrade

The included Golf Car Module is designed to integrate with SilverWolf’s Discovery 4WD system for E-Z-GO TXT, part number PK-000041. When TEEKON and Discovery are installed on the same vehicle, the systems share one GCM and use the harness layout specified in SilverWolf’s integration instructions.

Street-Legal and LSV Considerations

Installing a high-performance motor kit does not make a golf cart street legal. Standard-LSV Mode is a performance profile; it is not a VIN, title, registration, inspection or legal certification.

Street-use requirements vary by state and municipality and can include approved lighting, turn signals, horn, mirrors, windshield, seat belts, reflectors, braking performance, speed limitations, tires, insurance, registration and other equipment. Confirm every local requirement before operating the cart on public roads. Installation Notes

SilverWolf states that installation and service must be completed by a trained golf cart technician. The installation requires work around a high-current battery system, lifting and supporting the rear of the vehicle, removing the stock motor and controller, fitting the new motor and controller, routing new power cables, installing the solenoid and pre-charge resistor, connecting the GCM harnesses and completing setup in the SilverWolf app.

Before installation:

• Download and register the SilverWolf app.
• Record or photograph the serial numbers on the motor, controller and GCM.
• Photograph the original battery and wiring connections.
• Turn the key off and remove it.
• Place the Run/Tow switch in Tow.
• Engage the parking brake.
• Disconnect main battery power.
• Raise and support the rear of the cart with automotive jack stands and chock the front wheels.
• Wear safety glasses and gloves and use insulated tools.
• Read every warning and instruction in the current SilverWolf manual.

Do not energize the system without the pre-charge resistor installed exactly as shown. Do not pressure-wash the motor, controller, GCM or related electrical components.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will PK-000052 fit a 36V E-Z-GO TXT?

No. SilverWolf explicitly states that this kit does not fit a 36V TXT. It is designed around a qualifying original 48V DC configuration.

Is the 2-gauge cable set included?

No. The required E-Z-GO TXT 2-gauge AC power-cable set is SilverWolf part number PK-000011 and is sold separately.

Is the heavy-duty solenoid included?

Yes. PK-000052 includes a 400A / 48V heavy-duty solenoid, pre-charge resistor and connection leads.

Can I use a lithium battery?

Yes, if the pack satisfies SilverWolf’s requirements: 48V–72V nominal, at least 100A continuous discharge and at least 250A for five seconds. Nominal voltage cannot exceed 72V. The BMS and charger must also be compatible.

Will this work with a non-OEM throttle?

No. SilverWolf specifies the original OEM stock ITS throttle and says not to use a non-OEM throttle.

How fast will my TXT go?

SilverWolf advertises potential speed up to 32 MPH with Sport Mode authorization. Actual speed depends on battery voltage and condition, tire size, cart weight, terrain, programming and overall vehicle condition. Sport Mode requires SilverWolf approval and a signed waiver.

Does this kit make the cart street legal?

No. Motor performance and legal road equipment are separate issues. Verify local laws and equip, inspect, title, register and insure the cart as required in your area.

Can I add SilverWolf Discovery 4WD later?

Yes. The TEEKON GCM supports integration with the E-Z-GO TXT Discovery 4WD system, PK-000041. The 4WD system is sold separately and must be installed according to SilverWolf’s combined-system instructions.

Can I install the kit myself?

SilverWolf’s manual states that installation and service must be completed by a trained golf cart technician. Professional installation is strongly recommended for safety, correct setup and warranty protection.

Warranty

SilverWolf provides a two-year limited warranty to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service, subject to the manufacturer’s current exclusions and limitations. Proof of purchase is required.

Warranty exclusions include misuse, abnormal strain, accident damage, unauthorized parts, improper operating conditions, modification or disassembly of the motor or controller, rental or public-use vehicles and power washing of components.
