The MadJax 5″ Drop Axle Lift Kit transforms your EZGO TXT Electric with increased ride height, additional undercarriage clearance, and the aggressive appearance expected from a fully lifted golf cart.
Rather than relying on simple front spacers, the kit replaces the original front axle with a purpose-built five-inch drop axle. New spindles position the front wheels correctly for the lifted suspension, while the included rear lift blocks and mounting plates raise the rear of the cart to create a balanced front-to-rear stance.
This drop axle design is a strong choice for owners who want meaningful clearance for larger tires without the additional complexity or cost of a long-travel suspension system. It is well suited for neighborhood driving, campgrounds, hunting property, light trail use, and custom lifted-cart builds.

Nivelโs official description specifies electric-cart fitment even though a separate database field on the same page currently says โBOTH.โ For customer-facing fitment, electric-only is the safer and more supportable designation.
Recommended Tire Size
This five-inch lift kit is designed to accommodate:
- Up to 23″ tall tires
- Popular 22″ and 23″ lifted golf cart tire packages
- Street, all-terrain, and off-road tread options
Actual tire clearance depends on wheel offset, tire width, tread design, spring condition, rear seating, and the total weight carried by the cart. The kit accommodates tires up to 23″ tall; it does not guarantee every 23″ tire and wheel combination will clear under every setup.
Installation Notes
- The factory front axle and spindles are removed
- Factory front hubs and retained hub hardware are reused
- The steering rack is transferred to the new drop axle assembly
- Factory front shocks attach to the new axle assembly
- Rear leaf springs are repositioned according to the cartโs spring configuration
- Rear lift blocks and shock mounting plates are included
- Front toe must be adjusted after installation
- A complete front-end alignment is required before operating the cart
- Grease the new spindles during installation
- Recheck the lift components and alignment after the first hour of driving
- Regrease and inspect the hardware after approximately 50 hours of recurring use
MadJax warns that operating the cart without properly aligning the front wheels can reduce steering control and increase the risk of a rollover or crash.
Tech Tip: Inspect the front hubs, wheel bearings, tie-rod ends, rear spring bushings, and shocks while the factory suspension is disassembled. Replacing worn components during lift-kit installation can help prevent repeated labor later.
