EZGO TXT Gas 6″ Drop Axle Lift Kit with Tie Rod
Give your gas-powered EZGO TXT a commanding lifted stance, additional ground clearance, and room for larger tires with the SGC LKTX06 6″ Drop Axle Lift Kit. Designed for 2001.5–2008 gas EZGO TXT golf carts, this complete front-and-rear suspension system replaces the original front axle with a purpose-built drop axle to raise the cart approximately six inches.
The LKTX06 also includes the correct tie rod for this application, helping provide the steering components needed to complete your lifted EZGO TXT build.
Fits 2001.5–2008 Gas EZGO TXT Models
The SGC LKTX06 is designed for:
- 2001.5–2008 EZGO TXT golf carts
- Gas-powered models only
- Factory-style suspension configurations
- Carts with the newer four-bolt steering-column mounting pattern
Important: This lift kit does not fit electric EZGO TXT models. EZGO introduced a midyear design change during 2001, so verify your cart’s steering-column mounting pattern before ordering.
Check the Steering-Column Bolt Pattern
Inspect the area where the steering column attaches near the floorboard:
- Four-bolt mounting pattern: Newer 2001.5–2008 configuration; use this LKTX06 lift kit
- Three-bolt mounting pattern: Older 1994–2001.5 configuration; a different lift kit is required
Checking the bolt pattern is the most reliable way to identify the correct suspension generation when working with a cart manufactured near the 2001.5 transition.
Six-Inch Drop-Axle Lift Design
The LKTX06 replaces the original front axle with a heavy-duty drop axle, providing approximately six inches of lift while maintaining secure steering and suspension mounting points.
Rear lift components raise the back of the cart to create a balanced lifted stance from front to rear. The result is greater underbody clearance, additional room around the wheel openings, and a more aggressive appearance.
Clearance for Tires Up to 23 Inches
This 6-inch EZGO TXT lift kit accommodates tires up to 23 inches tall when paired with properly offset wheels.
Actual tire clearance may vary based on wheel width, wheel offset, tire profile, suspension condition, passenger load, and installed accessories. Offset wheels are required when installing larger tires with this lift kit.

The LKTX06 includes the replacement front drop axle, rear suspension lift components, tie rod, mounting brackets, and installation hardware required for the conversion.
