Yamaha Heavy-Duty Rear Coil Springs | G14, G16, G19, G22 & G29 Drive | SGC

$ 79.99

Restore rear suspension support on Yamaha G14, G16, G19, G22 and G29/Drive golf carts with this SGC heavy-duty rear coil spring kit. Designed to reduce sag and body sway when carrying rear seats, cargo boxes and other added rear weight.

Description

Strengthen Your Yamaha’s Rear Suspension

Adding a rear seat, cargo box or other equipment places additional weight over your Yamaha golf cart’s rear suspension. Factory springs can begin to sag under that added load, leaving the cart sitting low in the rear and feeling less stable through turns or over uneven ground.

The SGC HCYM01 Heavy-Duty Rear Coil Spring Kit adds rear suspension support to compatible Yamaha golf carts. These coil-assist springs are designed to reduce suspension sag, improve stability and help the cart carry added rear weight more confidently.

Verified Yamaha Fitment

Fits the following Yamaha golf cart models:

  • Yamaha G14
  • Yamaha G16
  • Yamaha G19
  • Yamaha G22
  • Yamaha G29/Drive

Compatible with both lifted and non-lifted carts according to the manufacturer.

This kit is not manufacturer-verified for Yamaha G8 or Drive2 models. Do not order based on model year alone. Confirm your Yamaha model before purchasing.

Not sure which Yamaha you own? Contact us with your cart’s model information and a few clear photos before ordering.

Ideal for Rear Seats and Cargo Boxes

These heavy-duty rear coil springs are particularly useful for carts equipped with:

  • Rear passenger seat kits
  • Cargo boxes or utility beds
  • Frequently carried rear cargo
  • Additional rear-mounted accessories
  • Suspension setups experiencing excessive rear sag
  • Lifted or non-lifted carts with weak factory rear springs

If you are building a passenger cart, explore our [Yamaha rear seat kits] and complete your suspension upgrade before regularly carrying additional passengers.

Helps Reduce Rear Sag and Body Sway

Weak or overloaded factory springs can allow the rear of the cart to sit noticeably lower. They may also contribute to excess body movement when turning, braking or traveling across uneven terrain.

The HCYM01 kit is designed to:

  • Provide additional rear suspension support
  • Reduce sag caused by added rear weight
  • Help control body sway from weak factory springs
  • Improve the cart’s loaded stance
  • Support rear-seat and cargo-box applications
  • Work with lifted and non-lifted Yamaha carts

These helper springs improve suspension support but do not replace worn shocks, damaged suspension components or proper weight distribution.

What’s Included

  • Two red heavy-duty powder-coated coil springs
  • Two split mounting collars
  • Four retaining screws

Everything shown in the main product image is included.

Important Load-Capacity Information

These springs add rear suspension support, but they do not establish a new payload rating or officially increase the golf cart manufacturer’s GVWR.

Do not rely on an arbitrary added-weight figure when loading your cart. Passenger and cargo weight must remain within the safe limits of the golf cart, rear seat, brakes, tires, wheels and other installed components.

For passenger-cart builds, properly rated seat belts, grab bars and other [golf cart safety equipment] should also be considered.

Installation Considerations

Installation involves working around the rear suspension and shock assemblies. Before beginning:

  • Park the cart on a stable, level surface
  • Switch the cart off and secure it against movement
  • Support the vehicle correctly before working underneath it
  • Inspect the existing shocks and mounting points for wear or damage
  • Follow the supplied installation instructions
  • Tighten and recheck all mounting hardware
  • Verify adequate clearance throughout the suspension’s travel

Professional installation is recommended if you are unfamiliar with golf cart suspension systems or safe vehicle-lifting procedures.

These springs are intended to supplement a compatible suspension system. Worn shocks, damaged mounts, loose hardware and other suspension problems should be repaired before installation.

The springs were easy to install once you watch the YouTube video on it.. ground the two springs off very easily and the install on the shock was super easy and they also match my red g29.
