Complete Your Yamaha King XD Lift Installation

The MadJax 4″ Solid Rear Axle Lift Kit provides the rear suspension components required to complete a King XD lift installation on compatible Yamaha Drive and Drive2 Electric golf carts.

PLEASE NOTE: This is not a complete front-and-rear lift kit. Item #16-057 is the rear kit only and must be paired with MadJax Front Lift Kit #16-055. Customers who need both sections can purchase the complete MadJax King XD Lift Kit #16-061, which includes Items #16-055 and #16-057.

The kit uses a rear shock goalpost to reposition the upper shock mounting points and a track-bar relocation bracket to maintain proper rear suspension geometry after the cart is raised. This configuration allows the factory rear axle and shocks to work with the four-inch front suspension lift while maintaining a balanced stance.

When installed as part of the complete King XD system, the lift provides a versatile four-inch ride height with room for larger tires without creating the extreme height of a six-inch suspension lift.

Will Not Fit:

• Yamaha Drive2 Gas models with independent rear suspension
• Yamaha models outside the listed Drive and Drive2 platforms
• Carts requiring an independent rear suspension lift
• Complete stock-height carts unless Front Lift Kit #16-055 is also installed

For a Yamaha Drive2 with an independent rear suspension, use MadJax Rear Lift Kit #16-056 instead.

Required Front Lift

Customers needing the complete front-and-rear package should use:

• MadJax 4″ King XD Lift Kit #16-061

The complete #16-061 kit includes:

• Item #16-055 — King XD front lift
• (this) Item #16-057 — solid rear axle lift

Recommended Tire Size

When installed with the required MadJax front lift, the completed four-inch system is designed for:

• Recommended tire height: 20″-22″
• Maximum tire height: Up to 22″
• Minimum wheel size for the complete King XD system: 10″

Actual clearance depends on wheel offset, tire width, tread design, spring condition, rear seating, and the total load carried by the cart. MadJax specifically warns against using tires taller than 22″ with this four-inch lift system.

Installation Notes

• This is a rear-only installation
• Front Lift Kit #16-055 must also be installed
• Professional installation is recommended
• Rear wheels must be removed
• The rear axle must be supported during installation
• The rear shocks are repositioned using the supplied goalpost
• The rear track bar is relocated using the included bracket
• A 7/16″ hole must be drilled through the appropriate frame and bagwell location
• The rear body does not normally need to be removed
• An existing rear seat may be temporarily removed or accessed from beneath the cart
• Final camber and toe adjustments are completed using the instructions supplied with Front Kit #16-055
• Lift hardware and wheel-lug torque should be checked after installation

Tech Tip: On Yamaha G29/Drive models, the motor cover is temporarily removed for access. On Drive2 models, the bagwell is temporarily removed. A rear seat kit may affect access but does not necessarily prevent installation.
