Why Is the Additional Bucket Harness Included?
According to SGC, 2008-up electric Club Car Precedent golf carts were not equipped with the bucket harness needed for its current LED light kits.
The included LHPR02 is a supplemental, electric-specific harness. It works with the main wiring harness supplied with the LIPR01 light kit; it does not replace the light kitโs primary harness.
The Bucket Harness Is Not a Voltage Reducer
The LHPR02 bucket harness provides the required wiring connection for the listed electric Precedent application. It does not convert a higher-voltage battery pack to 12 volts.
The LIPR01 LED light kit still requires a proper 12-volt power source. If your cart does not already provide suitable 12-volt accessory power, additional electrical equipment may be required.
Basic Light Kit Classification
This is a Basic LED lighting package. It provides the headlights, taillights, wiring, and electric-cart bucket harness needed for the listed application.
The bundle is not identified by SGC as including:
- Horn
- Turn-signal controls
- Brake-light activation equipment
- Low/high-beam controls
- Street-legal accessory package

Electric Models Only
The included LHPR02 bucket harness is strictly for battery-powered Club Car Precedent golf carts.
Do not order this bundle for a gas-powered Precedent. Gas carts use the LHPR01 supplemental light harness and should be matched using the cartโs model year and power type.
12-Volt Power Requirement
The LIPR01 LED light kit requires a 12-volt connection. An electric golf cartโs total battery-pack voltage does not necessarily indicate that it has a suitable 12-volt accessory output.
Do not connect the lights directly to a power source exceeding the specified 12-volt requirement. Contact Peteโs Golf Carts if you need help determining whether your cart requires additional equipment to provide the correct power supply.
Installation Information
SGC provides step-by-step installation instructions with the light kit. Installation involves cutting the required body openings, mounting the headlights and taillights, routing the main wiring harness, adding the electric bucket harness, and connecting the lighting system to an appropriate 12-volt power source.
Professional installation is recommended if you are not comfortable cutting the golf cart body or working with its electrical system.
