Not tailor made for 2021 Yamaha Drive 2

Dear Pete’s Golf Carts and Eco Battery,
I am old and out of shape, but I worked hard to find a product to convert my Yamaha Drive 2 golf cart from lead acid to Lithium batteries. I studied which batteries were safest and which kit was best for my conversion. I bought the bundle B-3522 as it was supposed to be just what I needed. When spending over $3,000 I thought that it would not need modifications, came with everything I needed, would have tailer made instructions and would not have unnecessary parts that would only be distractions. So I was/ am highly disappointed.

1. The battery bracket is not tailor made for a Yamaha Drive 2 cart. The battery pan has strengthening ridges. So when the bracket sits on top of the ridges it is almost impossible to screw the flanges into the rails at the front and back of the compartment. And even when with great effort we did screw the flanges in the battery rocked.
a. Either the legs need to be shortened to be able to screwed in easily. And if this option is used spacing pads should be provided in order to level out the bottom of the tray in order to provide a solid steady base.
b. The bracket could be modified to fit over the ridges and therefor the legs could screwed in.
c. Or spacers and longer screws could be provided so that the flanges could be easily screwed into the rails. If this option is used pads should be provided to make the bases stable.
2. It doesn’t matter which set of rail holes are used and/or how the battery is positioned in the brackets, the existing battery cables will be too short.
The pre-exsisting connections for the battery cables are in the center rear of the battery compartment. The battery has connections that are split, front and rear of the battery/compartment and so the existing cables don’t work, For $3,000 you should provide longer battery cables.
3. The 2021 Drive 2 has a New Energy Operating System. This system includes the converter to service the 12 volt systems such as lights, USB ports, etc. So, providing the 12 volt converter is unnecessary and a distraction. There is no way to connect this device to the various 12 volt systems.
4. I know that I am old and old fashioned, but how about some instructions that are tailer made for my installation? Some basic diagrams to show how the bracket fits would be nice. Show how the monitor wiring must be connected to the charger signal wiring, allowing the charger to charge would be nice. Something to showing the connection from the NEOS to the battery would be nice. (When I scanned the battery, it gave me instructions for a Polaris ATV installation.) When I sent a photo of the NEOS to Pete’s Golf Cart technicians I was provided a link to a U-Tube video that was very good at explain the battery, but spent time on the unusable converter and didn’t explain how I needed to connect the NEOS to the battery.
So, after much struggling, I have installed the battery, charger, the ports and the monitor and it is now working. It just was a lot harder than it should have been or could have been.
